Sue Martin from St Michael's Hospice in Basingstoke organised a wonderful exhibition at the Victoria Hall of arts and crafts made by residents from a number of homes, some of whom live with dementia, along with items produced by attendees of the Forget-Me-Not Café. The feature picture is of the staff from the homes plus volunteers from Hartley Wintney and elsewhere who provided refreshments and made the day something to remember. Pictures of our exhibits are in the Gallery.
A wonderful quilt, made by a care home resident, was raffled and there was an auction of items made by those living with dementia or donated by others. The money raised was an amazing £633.30, which was donated to our Forget-Me-Not Café and the Sunflower Caféin Odiham.
