Forget-Me-Not Café

Since September 2014 we have run the hugely successful and well acclaimed Forget-Me-Not Café which is open to people living wih dementia, their family, carers and friends.

Based at St John’s Church, it runs on Tuesdays 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm. There is no need to tell us in advance that you plan to attend, but we do ask that, on your first visit, you arrive at around 2.30 pm, so that we have time to give newcomers, having settled our regulars down with a cup of tea and cake. We have a wide range of memory books available and offer craft activities, table-top games, snooker and table tennis.

We are grateful to St John’s Church for providing the venue free of charge and to local organisations whose generous support allows us to provide our free weekly Tuesday afternoon café. However, there is a charge for our summer BBQ and Christmas Lunch with booking and payment in advance required for these events. The charge covers all food and drink.
