Befriending

Started in April 2011, our volunteers visit people’s homes or meet out in a local café, once a week, for a cup of tea and a chat or to play cards games or any other activity which is agreed. This service complements the work that is done by the pastoral teams of the village’s churches.

We receive referrals from Hampshire County Council’s Adult Service Department staff and the Social Prescribers from the British Red Cross attached to Whitewater Health, which shows their confidence in what we are able to offer.
