We continue to provide a door to door service, for those without transport of their own, to attend their medical appointments, a service that has been available throughout the pandemic.
We are hopeful that it will not be too long now before we can resume our weekly Forget-Me-Not Café and Singing for the Mind sessions and again visit people in their own homes for a cup of tea and a chat. In the meantime for those self isolating still or for those with limited mobility, we continue to assist with making weekly telephone calls, shopping, prescription collections and dog walking.
If you want to find out more about anything that we currently do, or if you want to see if we can assist with other needs, please call us on 0845 5190855
Founded in 1977 we are a group of friendly volunteers, who assist people in Hartley Wintney, Heckfield, Mattingley and Winchfield who need a helping hand.
We provide volunteer drivers to take people to medical appointments, do home visits, run the weekly Forget-Me-Not Café and Singing for the Mind sessions for those living with dementia and their family, friends and carers and do odd jobs for people with mobility problems if we have a volunteer with the necessary skills.
Our volunteers are DBS checked and the Group has Public Liability Insurance with a limit of £10,000,000.
We are one of more than 110 similar groups in Hampshire, who are supported by the Good Neighbours Network, which is funded by the Diocese of Portsmouth, Winchester and Guildford; Hampshire County Council; and Hampshire’s NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups.
To organise a driver for your appointment or to find out more about our other services please call our Duty Officer on 0845 5190855 and preferably between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays.
